Starting From Scratch, Spirit First

Let me be honest: I didn’t have a blueprint.
No business degree. No coach. No clue.
All I had was desperation, a spiritual whisper, and a little voice that said, “Try.”

After walking away from a job that drained my soul, I was standing in the middle of my living room broke, broken, and blank.
But I knew one thing: I couldn’t go back to surviving. I had to find a way to live.
And somehow… I just knew that working from home was part of the plan.

Even if I didn’t know how yet.

Every time I looked at my son, every time I checked the fridge, every time I sat in silence with tears in my eyes  I knew:
I can’t keep living like this.

I didn’t have a license.
I didn’t have child support.
I didn’t have anyone to call.
But I did have my faith. My fire. And my calling.

That was enough to get me moving.

I wasn’t confident. I wasn’t polished. I didn’t even have a plan.
But I had made a decision and I believe that’s where transformation begins.

Feeling overwhelmed at the beginning? You don’t need it all figured out. You just need to move when your soul says go.

The first thing I did was create a little bit of structure. I wasn’t trying to build an empire overnight I just needed to survive the day.

So I did what I could with what I had:

  • I started waking up early not because I had to, but because I was trying to create change.

  • I wrote affirmations in my journal every morning.

  • I said prayers out loud in my kitchen.

  • I looked up things like “how to make money from home” and “income ideas for single moms.”

  • I made a vision board even when my reality didn’t match any of it yet.

It felt small at the time.
But now I see those tiny acts were spiritual declarations.

I was showing the Universe: I’m ready.

Once I had a little rhythm, I started treating my day with more intention.
Even when I wasn’t earning, I was showing up like someone who would be.

🕯 Morning rituals:  I’d light a candle, sit in silence, and ask, “What does my soul need today?”
📖 Journaling: Sometimes it was gratitude. Sometimes it was grief. But it always gave me clarity.
🎧 Uplifting audio: Podcasts, YouTube videos, anything that fed my mind instead of my fear.
📅 Time blocks: I gave myself space to learn, apply, and rest.

I wasn’t perfect. But I was present.
And that was everything.

Want the exact daily flow I created to stay grounded while building from nothing?
Send me the word “ROUTINE” and I’ll share my checklist the real one.

What I Know Now That I Didn’t Then

🌀 You won’t feel ready.
You’ll start scared, tired, overwhelmed — and still be worthy of success.

🌱 Faith is a strategy.
Even if it’s not on a business plan, belief moves things that logic can’t.

Imperfect action is still action.
I was stumbling through my first few months, but each day taught me something new.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Spiritual alignment matters more than hustle.
Because when your soul is in the right place, you move differently. With flow. With trust.

You don’t need a license, a perfect plan, or a head full of business knowledge. You just need a heart that’s ready to try.
If you’re ready to build something from nothing and do it with peace, purpose, and alignment let’s talk.

Closing Reflection

Every day I chose to show up even when I didn’t know what I was doing something inside me shifted.
Confidence came after I started.
Doors opened after I took the step.

So if you’re waiting for a sign…
This is it.
