Let’s Talk Truth About Working From Home

Working from home might sound like the dream pajamas, coffee on tap, and no more rush hour traffic.
And while it can be life-changing (it definitely was for me), it’s not for everyone.

If you’re thinking about transitioning to a remote lifestyle or building a home-based business, this blog is your sign to slow down and really explore the reality behind the freedom.

There’s a reason working from home is becoming more popular especially for single parents, introverts, creatives, and those with chronic stress or health concerns.

Here are some of the biggest benefits I’ve experienced:

  • Freedom with your schedule: You control your hours and energy.

  • No commuting stress: Say goodbye to gas, traffic, and lost time.

  • Custom environment: Work in silence, play music, burn a candle your space, your vibe.

  • Better work-life alignment: I get to be present with my child, pets, and healing journey.

  • Personal development: I had space to reflect, grow spiritually, and truly know myself.

Curious if this lifestyle might work for you? Start by asking: what does success look like in this season of your life?

Now for the truth most people don’t share: working from home still requires work.

Here are the biggest challenges I had to face:

  • Distractions are everywhere: From dishes to dogs to TikTok… discipline is everything.

  • Isolation can creep in: If you're social, working solo may feel lonely.

  • You wear all the hats: There’s no manager telling you what to do. You're the boss and the assistant.

  • No clock-in/clock-out energy: It’s easy to overwork or under-commit without boundaries.

  • Self-motivation isn’t optional: You need systems, structure, and mindset rituals.

These aren’t deal-breakers but they are real.
And if you’re not prepared for them, they can knock your vision right off track.

Want to see how I stay organized, motivated, and focused from home?
Message me the word “READY” and I’ll share my favorite tools and daily rituals.

If you’re on the fence, ask yourself:

  1. Do I thrive with independence or need outside structure?

  2. Am I self-motivated, or do I struggle to start without pressure?

  3. Can I manage my time well and create my own systems?

  4. What’s my “why” for wanting to work from home is it purpose-driven or escape-based?

  5. Do I have support or accountability to stay consistent?

If your answers are honest, you’ll know if this path is meant for you or if it’s something you’ll need to prepare for mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start building a path that aligns with your values and lifestyle — let’s connect.

I didn’t just find a job.
I found alignment.
I found faith.
I found a version of me I didn’t even know was waiting to rise.

Working from home isn’t just about flexibility it’s about freedom.
And for some of us, it’s the door to the healing, peace, and purpose we’ve been praying for.

But only you can decide if it’s your season.
And if it is I’ll be right here cheering you on as you rise.
