Let’s be real: I wasn’t lazy.
I was overwhelmed, overthinking, and over-analyzing my every move.
I thought I had to be perfect before I started.
I thought I needed to have it all together, just like the people I saw online.
But what I really needed?
Was to stop failing myself.
I made a commitment:
No more excuses. No more delaying. No more overthinking.
If I was going to live a life that reflects my purpose, I had to show up for me even if it wasn’t perfect.
I used to think if I didn’t get it perfect, I shouldn’t even try.
So I’d plan… then over-plan… then self-sabotage.
I wanted everything to be flawless before I hit publish, logged in, showed up, even for myself.
But practice makes progress, not perfection.
And honestly, perfect never taught me anything.
It was the messy moments, the “almost,” the re-directions that gave me wisdom.
Every “failure” became a lesson and those lessons built me.
If you’ve been paralyzed by overthinking or perfection, just start.
It’s not about getting it perfect it’s about getting it going.

The hardest part? Starting.
The second hardest part? Showing up again the next day.
But when I made a promise to myself that I would no longer break
something inside me shifted.
I began following a routine:
-
Waking up early with intention
-
Saying affirmations before checking my phone
-
Logging into my work-from-home dashboard even when I felt tired
-
Blocking distractions like TV, clutter, and self-doubt
-
Moving with focus, not emotion
I stopped chasing motivation and started creating momentum.

Message me the word “ROUTINE” and I’ll send you my personal productivity checklist that helps me stay on track, grounded, and growing.
I realized I couldn’t grow in a cluttered space mentally or physically.
So I started clearing:
-
Old habits
-
Piles of paper I wasn’t using
-
Clutter in my physical space
-
Toxic distractions (including certain people)
-
Beliefs that said I couldn’t do this
I wasn’t just organizing my space I was organizing my energy.
Because God didn’t design me to be chaotic He designed me to be intentional.
And every time I cleared something that didn’t serve me… more clarity came.
This is how I’m becoming the woman I’ve always been meant to be.
You don’t need another perfect plan. You just need one honest decision to start showing up for real.
No more hiding behind “I’m not ready.”
No more waiting on the perfect moment.
Closing Reflection: The Destination Was Never the Point
Years ago, I thought success was somewhere I had to get to.
Now I understand: it was always about the journey. It’s the daily decisions.
The mindset shifts.
The small wins.
The boundaries.
The prayers whispered before logging in.
The moments I kept going even when no one saw me.
This is how I grow. This is how I lead. This is how I build.
Not by doing it perfectly.
But by doing it anyway.
And if you’re reading this it’s your time too.
